One of my favourite way to meditate is through guided meditations. It is much easier to meditate when all you have to do is follow someone else’s voice, helping to take away the focus from your own internal dialogue. There are all kinds of guided meditations out there. The ones I typically enjoy the most are visual meditations or progressive relaxation. I find these kinds of meditations are the most effective when they are guided so your mind is free to be clear and not engaging in any active thought processes. I personally find guided meditation to be the most effective and worthwhile form of meditation because it makes it much easier to slip into that clear headspace, because all you have to do is listen.

Guided meditation can be done in person, but it is even more common to listen to a podcast or youtube video, walking you through a meditation. This is just another example of how technology is creating more and more opportunities and making resources more accessible!

There are also all different kinds of guided meditation out there, especially the ones offered on media platforms. Options include positivity meditations, deep sleep, inner stillness, meditations to balance chakras, relaxation, and the list could go on and on! All of these options can make it really quick and easy to find one that is suited to your exact meditation needs.

I’ve included in this post a variety of different guided meditations from Youtube that I personally really like and find useful. Maybe give one a try and let me know what you think in the comments!
